Who are we?

Hello, my name is Cara. I started DeafEd Direct to provide resources and education for families of deaf/hard of hearing (DHH) children. I taught DHH children for 20 years in a variety of settings.  I left teaching to start an organization that provides education and support for parents. I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds of IEP meetings and spent countless hours working to provide accurate, authentic, and objective information to parents of DHH children.
